Fun to be a kid

This is the most snow we've had since living in Atlanta and  definitely the most the boys have ever seen.  They had a blast playing this morning with buddies Jackson and Ellie.  Of course Caleb didn't last long as he hates cold.  After about an hour he wanted to go in so I took off his jacket and boots and sent him inside by himself.  Carter and I went in about 45 minutes later and there he was - cuddled on the couch with his blanket.

Back in our jammies, hot chocolate with marshmallows - life is good.

Not as icy as last time - no sledding this time!

Absolutely beautiful!!

I cold!!  I go inside sit on da couch.

But I'm hungry Mommy!

Thomas, a Fireman and and Engineer

Yes it is raining and yes they ran almost the entire time - we had to tell them to stop and come back as they kept running right by the houses!

Sillies BEFORE eating any candy!

I think Caleb was REALLY ready to eat some treats!

Petit Creek Farms

The ancient art of intimidating a goat.

Then you feed them.

Or just drop it on the ground.

"Fall" in Georgia

Fall in Georgia is weird. We had 77 degrees and beautiful yesterday. I'm talking shorts and snack picnics at the creek. Today? 61 degrees and rainy. Weird. Yesterday the boys and I headed down to the creek for a snack and some exploring. Carter was having a blast running down the sand hill, along the creek bed, through the woods and back down the sand hill. Until one time his momentum was a little more than his brakes. Hence the fall into the creek. Soaking wet up to his armpits. Did that stop him? Nope. Know what you get when you mix a running wet little boy and sand hills? A muddy, sandy, happy boy. Until time to walk back home - then he was an unhappy, cold, sandy, muddy boy.

Pictorial Review

I really don't want to be on a weekly schedule with this blog but I have obsessed with reading and learning about Charlotte Mason and her educational methods recently.  Hence, as soon as the boys are asleep I have been on the computer.  I've got to stop!!!  So here are a few pictures from the past few days to catch us up.

The boys were upstairs watching their morning "Little Bear" and when I went to check on them this is what I found.  They are so sweet together and truly love each other!

Playing on Mommy and Daddy's bed - wrestling, tickling and cuddling.  I think this has to be one of my favorite pictures of Caleb - ever!
Finally, today being a beautiful breath of the far away spring, we walked down to the "creek beach" with Andy, Megan and Jackson.  This is a beautiful area that I think we will be visiting a good deal this summer.  A perfect place for wading and of course - plopping rocks!
(Yes, my nose is green - Mommy didn't bring enough tissues down to the creek!)
